Job Summary
This role reports to the Decision Support Manager. The analyst will be responsible for developing and maintaining reports and targeted data extracts to meet the information needs of the Medical Center. They will provide decision support for key business decisions, develops ad hoc reporting in support of financial, clinical, quality, and research interests, develops and maintains standard operational and statistical reporting.
Job Responsibilities
· Knowledge of database management and programming using Structured Query Language (SQL) including table creation, database population, data joins, foreign keys, event block logic, sub queries, and file import/export functions
· 3-5 years of SQL Programming, Crystal and Business Objects Experience
· Proficient in the use Crystal reporting and Business objects for the production of reports
· Working knowledge of EPIC EMR clinical and/or billing applications with Crystal and Business Objects Reporting desired
· Three years experience in professional healthcare setting using clinical or financial computer applications
· Ability to analyze and interpret financial and clinical data
· Ability to seek out and find solutions that are not readily available for problem situations
· Aptitude for learning new technologies and processes
· Ability to adapt to a changing environment
· Effective verbal and written communication skills
· Ability to meet deadlines is required
Education
· Associate’s Degree Required. Bachelor's degree in Business or Information Systems or equivalent information systems experience preferred
Certification
· Certification related to database administration and/or SQL preferred
